About Ryuji Uchida
Ryuji Uchida is a Japanese hair stylist and hair & makeup artist, working between New York and Tokyo. With a career spanning over 30 years, he has worked extensively in fashion editorials, advertising campaigns, commercials, and runway shows.
He began his career in Tokyo in 1994, honing his skills within the influential salon culture of Aoyama. In 1999, he became the manager of RITZ Harajuku and later served as the salon director, overseeing salon operations.
In 2006, Uchida obtained an Artist Green Card and a New York State cosmetology license, relocating his base to New York. As a freelance stylist, he has participated in numerous fashion editorials, advertising campaigns, and runway shows, collaborating with international designers, photographers, and magazines.
In 2012, he opened REBIRTH Hair Salon in New York’s East Village and established REBIRTH NEW YORK INC, further expanding his work across the U.S. and Japan.
Throughout his career, Uchida has provided hair and makeup services for a diverse range of clients, including artists, actors, musicians, television personalities, and professional athletes, bringing his signature style and international perspective to each project.
内田龍次は、日本出身のヘアスタイリスト兼ヘア＆メイクアップアーティストで、ニューヨークと東京を拠点に活動している。30年以上のキャリアを通じて、ファッション、広告、コマーシャル、ランウェイショーなど、幅広い分野での経験を積んできた。
1994年に東京でキャリアをスタートし、青山の影響力あるサロン文化の中で技術を磨く。1999年にはRITZ原宿店の店長に就任し、その後サロンディレクターとしてサロン運営を統括した。
2006年にアーティストグリーンカードおよびニューヨーク州美容師ライセンスを取得し、ニューヨークへ拠点を移す。フリーランスのスタイリストとして、ニューヨークで多数のファッションエディトリアル、広告、ランウェイショーに参加し、国際的なデザイナー、フォトグラファー、雑誌とのコラボレーションを重ねた。
2012年にはニューヨーク・イーストヴィレッジに REBIRTH Hair Salon をオープンし、REBIRTH NEW YORK INC を設立。米国と日本の両国での活動をさらに拡大した。
これまでのキャリアを通じて、アーティスト、俳優、ミュージシャン、テレビパーソナリティ、プロスポーツ選手など多岐にわたるクライアントのヘアメイクを手がけ、独自のスタイルと国際的な視点を各プロジェクトに反映させている。
